Alvaston Hall

Alvaston Hall is a beautiful half-timbered Victorian gem, among the leafy lanes of Cheshire. Every evening there will be music, laughter, shows and dancing. Stroll along the well manicured gardens or visit the old Cheshire riverside town of Nantwich. Alvaston is close to Chester, the beautiful roman walled city famous for it`s cathedral and the rows, a two tiered shopping gallery dating from the middle ages.

Monday

Enjoy a leisurely drive to Alvaston Hall arriving mid-afternoon. With time to explore the wonderful resort before dinner and an evening of entertainment.

Tuesday

Excursion to Chester which boasts magnificent Cathedral, unrivalled shopping facilities and a wealth of visitor attractions. The city wall is one of the finest in the country, providing a fascinating two mile walk. The Rows are a delightful two-tier gallery of shops.

Wednesday

Optional extra excursion to Chester Zoo, cost £18 (we need a minimum number to run the excursion), or just spend the day relaxing and enjoying Alvaston Hall.

Thursday

A day excursion to Llandudno. It`s no mean feat listing all the things there are to do in Llandudno, Wales largest seaside resort. Fancy stretching your legs on the longest pier in Wales? Walk the promenade take in the lovely seaside air or visit the shops.

Friday

After a leisurely breakfast we say goodbye to Alvaston Hall and make our way home to return mid-afternoon.

The four-star Menzies Swindon is conveniently located in the centre of this thriving town with all the High Street shops and lots of unique small traders. Within Swindon we have McArthur Glen Designer Outlet (over 90 stores - iconic fashion brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, L K Bennett, Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss, Nike and high street favourites, like Superdry and Fossil) also the Great Western Railway Museum is also here and well worth a visit.

After breakfast we take a very short ride to the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet where you can shop, get lunch or visit the Great Western Railway Museum (there is an admission fee to this museum). There is also an award winning farmers market at the Outlet Village. Late afternoon return.

Liverpool has world class attractions, unrivalled musical heritage and is the ideal destination to visit and explore. You will visit The Beatles Story, a guided Cavern City Tour with a visit to Paul & John’s houses and spend time in the evening at the Cavern Club. Itinerary

Sunday

We depart early morning and travel to Liverpool stopping en-route. On arrival in Liverpool we visit the Beatles Story museum. Check in your hotel late afternoon, enjoy a 3 course dinner and after take a short walk to the Cavern Club where there will be seating reserved for you to enjoy the evening.

Monday

After breakfast check out of the hotel and take a guided tour with Cavern City Tours. We visit Paul’s & John’s houses and see the local haunts. After the wonderful two day experience of Liverpool we make our way home late afternoon.

 

Entrance to The Beatles Story, Houses and Guided Tour all included in the price.

Wednesday

A day to use the wonderful facilities that Warner’s have to offer, just relax, chill out and enjoy, or take a optional extra excursion to Great Yarmouth

Thursday

Today we have a treat, We visit Norwich which has the largest open market in the country, with over 190 permanent stalls to choose from. Situated in the centre of the city and surrounded by some of Norwich’s great historic buildings including the 15th Century Guildhall, Norwich Market is a colour explosion! Underneath the rainbow coloured roofs you will find stalls selling everything imaginable - pick up gourmet cheeses, a fish & chip lunch, books, the latest fashions, secondhand records, handmade fudge, local ice cream and much more.

Friday

Time to pack your suitcase, head to the dining room for breakfast then board your coach for the journey home.

The good old days!

 

Visit the world famous City Varieties Music Hall Theatre,newly opened after a £9.2 million refurbishment. Home of BBC TV`s longest running light entertainment show which was screened from 1953 to 1983. Leeds has the most wonderful covered market hall in the country, an impressive Edwardian building famous for its ornamental dragons and a huge open air market. It is a thriving city, with something for everyone a Mecca for shopping.We stay at the Corn Mill Lodge a 4 star hotel, the design of which was based on an original Corn Mill that occupied the site.

Then off we go to The City Varieties Old Time Music Hall for an evening performance of extravaganza. You may dress in the style of the Good Old Days if you wish.

It has a history that goes back nearly 2000 years; flourishing in Saxon times and was a strategic stronghold for King Alfred the Great, calling back by Wool to see the Church where Lawrence of Arabia is buried.
